Dancing Fool

rock bossa nova

Here it is folks, the EP in all it’s wonderment. you can purchase it as a download right now through those helpful chaps at BandCamp. We do have it available as a physical release… we all like a good physical release as well, don’t we. This will be available to buy online soon. For now we hope you enjoy what you hear.

You can also purchase  our previous EP from way back when. RIGHT HERE!

robots on the road (again)

On the long trek back from the Toon. The woodthief is jubilant after a visit to his home town and has composed a rap about the merits of combine harvesters to commemorate the occasion!

A fine gig was had by all and the good people of Newcastle responded well to the gentle wooing of the robot machine. Minus the Bear were charming hosts as always and it was good to see The Dime in his natural habitat.

Cross country on the way home so Gareth can point out the locations of his teenage conquests. It is possible that i have confused two conversations, but i think one fumbled tryst may have taken place in an all night garage! enough to put you off your mini cheddars certainly!

Robot EP actually out in the real world

It seems a very long time ago that we installed ourselves in a house in the mountains and recorded what has become the rock bossa nova ep, but finally, emerging blinking like a beautifully screenprinted butterfly from the musty cocoon of the robot release process, it makes it’s first unsteady flappings in the outside world. Or, more succinctly, you can actually buy it. In a shop. Or off us. Or Itunes. cool eh?

robots on the road

We are on the road. Quite literally as it happens! I’m writing this while crushed into the back of a car with four of us and all our gear on the way down to play Newcastle 02 academy with Minus the Bear.

Not for us the glamour of the tourbus or even the rock n roll squalor of a transit. We are instead on tour in a small hatchback! Thankfully the traditional touring twin perils of ginsters and unwarranted nudity have been curtailed by the simple fact that we were all wedged into the car in Edinburgh and have to remain in the same position until load in!

Last nights Glasgow show was earsplittingly quiet, but very much enlivened by our friend the kraken tripping on his entrance to the gig and subsequently launching himself spectacularly across the venue halfway through the second song!

Last Thursdays launch at the caves went ridiculously well after all the titting about leading up to it and the facebook posting the next day of a photo of a couple in just matching robots t-shirts and their pants was as much icing as anyone could ever want on there cake!

Live at Urban Outfitters Edinburgh

Slowly we build the site, and here we have some photos for you. More will follow I can promise, and when the rest of the band finally start to send me some stuff then the website will grow more rapidly. Sadly at the moment they heed my request, so you have a sparse amount of content to make do with.

First past the post
